Organizations struggling on their own with data management now have help, as Hitachi Vantara and Cisco inked a new pair of global partnership agreements. The agreements bring Hitachi Vantara into Cisco’s Service Provider and Solution Technology Integrator (STI) partner programs, respectively, enabling Hitachi Vantara to integrate Cisco technologies with its storage products. These agreements solidify Hitachi Vantara as a leading data center infrastructure and hybrid cloud managed services provider.
Coinciding with the STI agreement, Hitachi Vantara now includes the Cisco UCS X-Series servers in its offerings to deliver a converged infrastructure (CI) solution. The server line becomes part of the Cisco and Hitachi Adaptive Solutions portfolio, which pairs Cisco compute and networking with Hitachi Vantara’s Energy Star-certified Virtual Storage Platform (VSP).
The solution, which is available now for Hitachi Vantara customers, helps address the need for converged data center infrastructure.

Hitachi Vantara, as a member of Cisco's Service Provider program, offers consumption-based managed services to Cisco customers who need data center and hybrid cloud services. The services are aimed at addressing what Gartner reports as a critical shortage of skilled workers in IT.
